How to clean a memory stick?

Im not giving a tut....... I bought an official 8 gig in May, it worked perfectly until now. My PSP/Computer wont recognize it, so i guess it needs cleaning, but whats the right way? Thx 4 the help;)

yeah reformatting it is probaly the best way...WARNING reformatting it will erase everything off of it.

Is the PSP not being recognized or the just the memory stick? I'd salvage what you can and format the bastard.

anyways, if it is blinking once like every half-second when you stick it in, you have a bent/broken connector in your psp.

If that don't work, FORMAT THE BASTARD! lololololololol.
