The long wait is over folks as Verizon Wireless has finally pinned down the release of Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play for its North American debut.
The Android-powered “PlayStation phone” will be available on May 26 with the carrier taking preorders online starting this Thursday, May 19th. It will come bundled with seven game titles including, Madden NFL 11 (EA Sports), Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior (Digital Legends), Asphalt 6: Adrenaline (Gameloft), The Sims 3 (EA), Star Battalion (Gameloft), Crash Bandicoot (Sony Playstation) and Tetris, with more than 50 game titles available at launch for download via V CAST Apps.

Xperia Play will cost US$ 199.99 with a two-year contract, and you'll need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and a smartphone data package, which will set you back another US$ 39.99 and US$ 29.99, respectively.
